For new designs, we recommend the improved e-chain® series R4.80 from the igus® E4.1 modular system.
+25% more unsupported length, higher strength and tensile strength, same dimensions and connection dimensions

Separators can be arranged in any position in the chain cross-section. The standard separator part number 501 offers secure standing ability with its wide base, even for large cables/hoses.

With the various elements of the interior separation, the e-chains® and energy tubes can be divided both vertically and horizontally. Side plates and shelves allow a flexible separation structure. Shelves of various widths can be arranged in steps of 7mm on 11 levels. You can find recommendations for assignment in the "Design" chapter.
For installing the open height slot separators, the top and bottom slots cannot be used for shelves.
Examples of interior separation:
Part no. 505 height slot separators are used for a very finely divided solution. However, these cannot be integrated into existing shelving without removingthe interior separation system The height slot separator Part No. 509, which is open on one side, can be retrofitted without removing the existing interior separation system. (Does not apply to shelves in the upper or lower-most notches)

Guide troughs are used for applications where the upper run of the e-chain® glides on the lower run. When using the igus® guide trough made of steel, the following components are required. Guide trough without glide bars part no. 96.30, guide trough with glide bars part no. 96.31, assembly sets as butt connectors part no. 96.50. XX
.XX indicates the length of the C-profiles on which the guide trough will be mounted. The standard length of the trough parts and glide bars is 2m. The required length of guide trough is determined by the travel length.
