About the application:

The company Fefler GmbH builds special plants for automation. For the construction of a contract filler, the special machine builder relies on a drylin linear robot system from igus. The linear robot is used for handling and packing of ready-filled bottles.

The problem

The manual process for packaging the bottles cost the company time and money. Before that, the individual bottles were placed manually from the conveyor belt onto the pallet. A cost-effective automation solution was needed, because the monotonous task under high time pressure became physically demanding for employees in the long run, which in turn led to regular and expensive downtimes in production.

The solution:

The drylin room linear robot is perfectly suited as an automation solution for this packaging application. It is maintenance-free and consists of durable components from the motion plastics series from igus. The customer can thus enjoy more planning security in production. In addition, an ergonomically unfavourable workplace is replaced by a cost-effective automation solution that relieves the burden on the company's own employees.
