Highly resilient plain bearings for hinges in shipbuilding

Heavy doors are installed on yachts in the gunwale area with an opening angle of 180°. Their hinges must allow high loads and be corrosion-free. But previous solutions were often very susceptible to corrosion and wear near the pivot points. iglidur plain bearings were able to correct the problems of the previous design. The hinges are now completely maintenance-free.

No problem with salt water: rod ends in the rowing rods

The award-winning sailing boat Seascape 24 is a performance-oriented fast small cruiser with which you can also go on a leisurely trip. The steering system is a double oar design, which allows complete control even at high speeds. To ensure that the double oar steering works reliably, the designers use igubal KARM plastic rod ends for the connections.
