In the production of metal components, emulsions and oils are used that leave residues on the finished components. Meticulous cleaning work is required to completely remove these sometimes stubborn residues. Since the process is very dirty, a robot-based automation solution is a facilitating measure.

The problem

In order to avoid having to manually place the finished part in an ultrasonic bath, SBS Ecoclean has automated the process, as there are sometimes critical points on and in the component that need to be cleaned. 


 

The solution

A robolink RL-DP-5-SW as a splash-proof variant in combination with several lances for cleaning the component. Due to the different orientations of the lances, both horizontal and vertical holes and surfaces can be cleaned without leaving any residue.
