There are many local or regional companies that produce very large quantities and are reaching their capacity limits. In this case, an ice cream is packaged ready to eat. The milk for this comes from their own farm and is therefore processed directly without long transport routes.

The problem

As margins in local farms are nowhere near as high as for industrially produced goods. It also requires easy integration, as there is often no specialist staff for robotics projects. Another factor is FDA compliance, since work is carried out in the food environment.


 

The solution

A line robot that applies the appropriate labels to the ice cream cups in the rotary conveyor. It is important to differentiate between the varieties. Since there were various varieties, the appropriate label always had to be used individually.
